Meet Tiffany

Hello, my name is Tiffany! I’m a registered social worker and a mother of 2 young girls. As a social worker in the community setting, my work has involved supporting children, adolescents, and families through difficult life changes and transitions. I have experience and knowledge working with various populations affected by trauma, mental health, physical/developmental disabilities, and social determinants of health. I’m passionate about providing families and children with tools that support emotional regulation and communication skills to help foster resilience. I truly believe that through collaboration and connection we can slowly begin to heal. I like to view therapy as a personalized toolbox; as we continue to learn and grow, we fill this box with specific tools that support us in our everyday lives.

In my practice, I use a blend of play-therapy techniques, CBT(cognitive behavioral therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), mindfulness techniques & narrative therapy. I have specialized training in play-therapy techniques through the synergetic play therapy institute. I also completed certification in ACT and CBT, digging deeper into the connection between our mind and body. I completed a certificate program in grief and bereavement through King’s University and specialize in areas of grief, loss, and separation. I have also completed an applied mindfulness meditation certificate through the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work of U of T and am also a REIKI practitioner.
