CBT
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an empirically researched therapy that can help people of all ages address issues such as anxiety, depression and trauma. CBT empowers clients to learn the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviours and teaches them skills to better manage their thoughts and behaviours which leads to decreased negative emotions.
How we think (thoughts), feel (emotion) and act (behaviour) are all linked together. Learning to identify triggers, internal thoughts and beliefs and relearning how to manage and reform these unproductive thoughts can have a positive impact a child's ability to cope with daily stressors and manage big emotions.
