I am a graduate student at Yorkville University, currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My passion for supporting mental wellness is rooted in a strong academic foundation, beginning with my undergraduate degree from Western University, where I developed a solid understanding of mental health principles and human behavior.
My professional journey has provided me with meaningful opportunities to work with a wide range of individuals. I have experience as an emergency supply teacher, where I supported children in educational settings, and I have also worked closely with the Canadian Mental Health Association and a local women and family shelter. These roles have deepened my understanding of the importance of trust, safety, and cultural sensitivity in therapeutic work. They have also allowed me to develop the skills to work effectively within diverse populations, always striving to create inclusive, compassionate, and supportive environments.
I am excited to continue my journey by completing my placement at Kids and Mind Zen. I look forward to applying my experience and expanding my skills as I support children and families in their healing and personal growth.
